What is La Cabañuela?
La Cabañuela is the cabin of Hostal Mexiquillo, located in a natural environment in the town “La Ciudad”, 5 min. from Mexiquillo park, Durango. It is a rustic cabin that can be rented by groups of family or friends from 6 to 12 people, three comfortable bedrooms, two full bathrooms, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen and terrace with grill. It is ideal for families, groups of friends or couples looking for a quiet and cozy escape.
What does La Cabañuela in Mexiquillo include?
Hostal Mexiquillo’s cabin has three bedrooms, 4 double beds and 4 single beds (one room is a loft type overlooking the living room), two full bathrooms, living room with fireplace, fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, blender, crockery and cutlery for 12 people, pans, a terrace with grill, private parking, children’s play area and campfire area.
Where is the Cabin located in Mexiquillo?
La Cabañuela is located in the same area as Hostal Mexiquillo. It is located in the state of Durango, in the town of “La Ciudad”, just behind the main square of the town and only 5 minutes from the Mexiquillo ecotourism center. Our location is very convenient, as we are located at km 145 of the Dgo-Mztln Highway, which allows us to be 1.5 hours from Durango and 2.5 hours from Mazatlán.

What is the capacity of the cabin in Mexiquillo?
Hostal Mexiquillo’s cabin can accommodate from 6 to a maximum of 12 people. It has a room with a double bed and two single beds, a loft-type room with two double beds and two single beds, and a room with a double bed.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
You can check in from 13:00 hours and must vacate the cabin by 12:00 hours. If you need extra time, let us know in advance (You may be allowed to enter before and leave after the indicated time depending on the availability we have in the cabin).
What is the cancellation policy?
Only the date can be modified, you must notify 2 weeks in advance to reschedule without losing the deposit. No refunds.
No refunds in case of leaving before your scheduled date.

Can the fireplace be used?
Yes, La Cabañuela has a fireplace in the living room, which you can use during your stay. We only ask that you use it with caution and following the instructions for use that we will provide upon arrival. We have staff 24 hours a day in case you require help.
